Search and Filters

Search is a fast way to find an app item by its name or other parameters. Please note that you can search within the items of one app.

If you plan to search frequently by the same set of parameters, save them as a filter.

Search by Name

To start a search, open the app page. Type your search query in the search field at the top of the page. You can type the full name of an item or a part of it. The search is not case-sensitive.

Then press Enter on your keyboard.

In the search results, you will see all app items that have the text that you have entered in their name.

To clear the search field, click on the cross in the search field or press Esc on your keyboard.

For a more precise search, you can search by specific item parameters and use several parameters at the same time.

Search by Parameters

To search by parameters, click on the corresponding icon in the search field.

The Search by parameters form will open.

Here you can search by:

  • main app fields;
  • tasks assigned to users for working on a specific app item;
  • system fields.

The default system fields that you can specify are the following:

  • Author – the user who created the app item;
  • Change Author – the user who last modified the item.
  • Created – the date the item was created. You can select a precise date or specify a period.
  • Changed – the date the item was modified. You can select a precise date or specify a period.

You can add more parameters to this form. To do so, when configuring app fields add the required parameter and check the Search and sort by field box. Also, you can go to the advanced mode, open the Context tab and check the Participates in search box next to the selected parameter.

When searching by parameters, you can search within the deleted app items. To do that, click the Removed link in the top right corner of the form.

Full-text search

The full-text search is similar to search by name. If you want an app property to participate in full-text search, go to its settings and check the full-text search box.
